I am a Graphic Designer and Natural Science Illustrator at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences and graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design from Appalachian State University.

As a designer and natural science illustrator, I utilize visual design as a vehicle for the natural sciences to be accessible to the public, with the mission of engaging in socially conscious ways of designing to create a positive impact across communities.

Outside of the design studio, I am passionate about conservation efforts to protect pollinators and wildlife local to North Carolina. I am an Ecological Monitoring Volunteer through City of Raleigh Parks and Recreation, specifically for tracking the presence of monarch butterflies and other native pollinator activity through field research at designated pollinator garden sites across Raleigh Parks. Through this effort, I identify insects and native plants, data collection via observation, writing reports, and working directly with Raleigh Parks and the Monarch Larvae Monitoring Project. This helps inform important conservation practices implemented by the City of Raleigh to support native pollinators and their ecosystems.

I also enjoy watching hockey, (especially the Carolina Hurricanes!!) having craft nights with friends, going on walks and observing wildlife with my husband, and learning anything and everything I can!
