Hi, my name is Amanda!

I am currently a Graphic Designer at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences and graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design from Appalachian State University.

As a designer, I focus on designing and developing creative solutions in visual identity design, especially branding, packaging, and animation, with the mission of engaging in socially conscious ways of designing to create a positive impact across communities.

Outside of the design studio, I am passionate about conservation efforts to protect pollinators and wildlife local to North Carolina. As such, I am a practicing community scientist through the Monarch Larva Monitoring Project, and currently take classes in environmental sciences, participate in field journaling, and strive to utilize graphic design as a vehicle for scientific research to be accessible to the public. I am also a practicing scientific illustrator with a focus on entomology, especially pollinating insects.

I also enjoy watching hockey, (especially the Carolina Hurricanes!!) having craft nights with friends, going on walks and observing wildlife with my husband, and learning anything and everything I can!
